We brought Darrel in to to help us make sense during a very chaotic time of our business. We needed someone who was truely an expert in making executive level decisive plans and actions when time was critical. I would absolutely hire him again! He business acumen is unmatched.
I truly enjoyed the Project Management course and believe this is solely because Darrel is an excellent instructor. Darrel does a great job keeping the pace smooth and the material digestable even though the concepts can be overwhelming. His experience as both a Project Manager and instructor are evident in how he blends real world examples into the curriculum. I would recommend that anyone who is interested in becoming a PMP take this course at St. Edwards from Darrel. He is a pragmatic problem-solver adept at mapping a straight course from chaos to stability. He specializes in turnarounds - some of the most difficult situations Project Managers face - and has developed PMI-certified training that enriches the basic course material of the PMI with Darrel's real-world experience and practices.

Darrel is an awesome project manager and colleague. His extensive knowledge of project management is bar none. I was always amazed at his expertise and professional demeanor. Darrel is always a very personable individual who respects your opinion, expertise and knowledge. I would strongly recommend him as a PM for your projects.
Darrel is in the business of delivering results. As the part-time Project Manager for the Bob Bullock Museum's largest project, he ensured that all goals and milestones were met -- on time - and with quality. Darrel makes any process run better. He brings the improvement that delivers value. I look forward to working with him again.
Darrel provides provides an exceptionally good learning experience for students (like myself) who have attended his A&IPM course at St. Edward's University. You won't be bored in his classes. He challenges you to think through real world scenarios - scenarios that he shares from his vast experience in Project and Program Management. You won't be listening to someone reading from slides in Darrel's class. But you will still be very well prepared to take and pass the PMP certification exam. I highly recommend Darrel's class to anyone who is considering taking courses on real life PM principles or PMP exam prep. With Darrel you get a rich experience that covers both objectives.
With a personal desire to change my project/program management behaviors and enhance my leadership skills, I went in search of a learning institution that would meet my needs and is highly respected. This I found in the Agile and Integrated Project Management (A&IPM) Evening Certificate Program taught at St. Edward's University-Professional Education Center. The instruction is world-class and delivered in a professional setting. Regardless of your education and experience, be prepared to walk away as a more efficient, focused, and disciplined project manager and leader. A key differentiation for me came from forming teams the first night, deciding on a project, and while rotating the PM baton taking the project from concept to close. In addition, many institutions teach the 'what' while this program focused on and demonstrated the 'how'. I also gained a stronger understanding of what Executives are seeking from the PM and how to deliver project definition/status using organized data and documented processes in which they will have confidence--this is worth the tuition alone. I am using the A&IPM techniques with early success, and with conviction I am recommending this course to anyone seeking to take their project management and leadership skills to a higher level.
Darrel was brought on-board to take over management of a large, priority project with immediate need for daily oversight and direction. Darrel's experience with large IT implementations allowed him to move directly into position and become effective with minimal ramp up. From day one, he was comfortable and confident in client facing meetings and a quick study of the strategic and tactical issues. With confidence, I can recommend Darel for similar situations and for a wide range of others as well.
As the founding Director of The HeliOS Project, it was important to me to surround myself with like-minded and dedicated people. It wasn't easy. We spend almost every free hour we have accumulating broken computers, triaging them and then building and testing them to give away to disadvantaged kids. It's not easy finding someone who will really dedicate themselves to this intense of an effort. Darrel Raynor stepped forward and volunteered to do what we needed done. We needed a Director of Asset Management. It's not easy getting corporations to part with decent used machines and parts. Darrel's professional and personal network was a perfect fit for our needs. He was able to quickly step in and start making contacts that were closed to me. What I appreciate most about Darrel is that when he says he's going to do something, you can be assured that it goes to the top of his priority list and he does as he says. Darrel Raynor has the talent, energy and character to do anything he sets out to do. The HeliOS Project is more than fortunate that he chose us to demonstrate it.
I have had the privelege to work directly with Darrel on a number of occasions while he created our company's project management education curriculum. Darrel is a very dynamic, creative and motivational presenter. Darrel is very knowledgeable in many aspects of project management and information technology. He does an excellent job in blending his past experiences to help students and fellow instructors take away new information and tools they can immediately put in place to be more productive. From a service providers standpoint, Darrel is very hands-on and active in working directly with his clients. I'd hire Darrel anytime in the future if the need arose. Also, Darrel is a great resource for project kick offs and post project reviews.
