Led the design, implementation, and management of the Team Foundation Server environment as the DevOps team’s Scrum Master. Team adopted Agile principles and the execution of the scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective.

Program Manager2013 to 2015

Managed the upgrade and redesign of the Microsoft Visual Studio/TFS 2013 based Application Lifecycle Management system. Scoped, sized, designed and implemented the TFS installation system globally. 

  • Migrated 30+ TFS 2008 projects into 1 TFS 2013, to enhance comm. and reduce complexity.

  • Trained all stakeholder groups, globally, on the use of TFS, process templates, manual and automated testing, and build processes.

  • Designed and implemented development workflows based on Wayne and Scrum methodologies.

  • Designed and executed DevOps for Wayne’s products using continuous integration builds based on TFS, Powershell, Ant, TeamCity, and other build and development tools.


r2006-2013

Led the design and implementation of ALM at Dell based on Microsoft Visual Studio/TFS. Designed and implemented workflows, evangelized, drove adoption, trained users, managed changes, and supported systems.

  • Implemented Agile and traditional process templates from requirements through deployment.

  • Managed relational data warehouse / multi-dimensional analysis cube: MS Reporting Services.

  • Led the adoption of TFS by 1,000+ Dell projects and 10,000+ users making the Dell TFS installation the largest in the world outside of Microsoft.

  • Delivered and maintained customized process templates that enabled agile and traditional development for www.dell.com, Dell IT, and the Dell Product Group.

  • Avenue A | Razorfish, Project Manager - Delivered client projects including scope, requirements, planning, development, testing, and implementation using project management processes including budgeting, change control, risk management, and reporting. Project deliverables included project plans, budgets, issues logs, and change orders. Hired by the client (Dell).

  • Pointserve, Sr Project Manager - PM for firm’s largest deployment of 10-12 client staff to deploy ESO solution at Terminix and re-engineered the routing and scheduling business process. Implemented standard PM processes and deliverables. Produced functional requirements, project plans, work plans, test plans, meeting agendas, and status reports. Turned around failing project and convinced the client to restart payments for services by building client trust.

  • CyberTrader, Sr Project Manager - Owned active trading software system full project lifecycle including end-user clients through backend information and trading systems. Led extended teams of 30 to 40 that delivered two major CyberTrader and Schwab platform releases of 25+ client, server, and web-based products. Designed and implemented PM processes that increased product quality and reduced cycle time. Managed and improved the monthly cycle release.

  • Coremetrics, Sr Manager of Professional Services - deployed analytics technology to major online retailers such as Wal-Mart, Eddie Bauer, Spiegel, and Grainger. Developed and employed deployment, project management, and training processes that reduced time and cost by 75%.

  • pcOrder.com/Trilogy, Sr Project Manager - Led project direction and account management from pre-sales to post-deployment support including direct client CIO/CTO contact. Delivered successful eBusiness deployments AP system to provide availability and order status data. Developed a deployment methodology based on industry standards including IEEE and SEI.

  • Deloitte Consulting, Sr Consultant - Responsible for technical and business process improvement for clients such as the States of Kentucky, Texas, Washington, and California, and Kaiser Permanente. Led teams through all phases of major system development projects including extensive proposal development and presentation experience for major (multi-million) sales efforts. Led a core team of 12 and an extended team of approximately 120 client staff in redesigning the process to identify and assess the training and employment needs of the Kentucky workforce.
